Child Care
Like all of our YMCA programs, our child care program is driven by the mission to build a healthy mind, body, and spirit. Our YMCA is a great place for your child to grow. We use a developmentally age appropriate approach, with attention to the children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical needs. And because of our resources and expertise in swimming, sports, and exercise, our YMCA can easily incorporate physical development. In our child care, kids learn the values of honesty, caring, responsibility, and respect.
Our child care accepts children who are between the ages of 2 ½ to six, and they must be potty trained. While in our child care, your child will have the opportunity to participate in gymnastics lessons, swim lessons, creative movement classes, Bible study, gymnasium time, and much more! Included in the program costs are fees for swimming lessons, gymnastics, lessons, and creative movement classes. Also included is a small cost for use of the gymnasium and the multi-purpose room.
Our child care facility is legally licensed by the Ohio Department of Job & Family Services. All of our staff is certified in First Aid, CPR, Child Abuse Recognition and Prevention, and Communicable Disease.

*In order to be charged the hourly w/block rate, you must sign up for either an afternoon or morning block. The lunch block does not count.
Ashland YMCA Breakfast and Y3:30 Club
The Breakfast Club will meet Monday – Friday from 6:00 am – 8:30 am and the Y3:30 Club will meet Monday – Friday from 3:30 – 5:30 pm. The program may serve a maximum of thirty six children between the ages of six and twelve. There will be two qualified staff members with the children, thus keeping the ratio at one staff member to eighteen children. Staff qualifications include being at least eighteen years of age, a completed medical statement, a background check, a non-conviction statement, and three reference checks and a high school diploma or equivalent.

*Three day PM classes may choose days as swimming and gymnastics is only offered on Tuesdays for the PM classes. i.e. MTW, TWR, TRF. A preschool membership can be purchased for $132.00 that will give your child the member tuition and include a discount for all YMCA classes.
