Give your child an opportunity to spread their wings by registering them for one of our many sports programs, including volleyball, basketball, baseball/softball, tennis, dance, and martial arts. Whatever your child’s level, they will develop the skills they need to improve their performance and confidence.

Summer Programs


NFL Flag Football

Practice starts week of Aug 23rd. Games are on Saturdays Sept 12th-Oct 17th.

Flag Football is a fun way to learn the fundamentals of football and provide team work experience for children. This program is available to Ashland and the surrounding communities. Registration is open now through Aug 8th.

To Register without coming to sign up in person you may:

  • Mail in your completed registration packet with a check for the proper amount.
  • Email the completed forms to We will then put the balance on your account and you will be able to pay through your online account.

Sport Conditioning camp (ages 10-15)

July 13th, 14th, 16th, and 17th: 11am-noon

This camp is lead by ACSM Certified Personal Trainer Hannah Weibel. Improve cardiovascular conditioning for sport performance, enhance agility and coordination, and improve endurance for all sports!


Weightlifting Camp (ages 10-15)

July 20th, 21st, 23rd, and 24th: 11am-noon

This camp is lead by Certified USA Weightlifting coach Alex Byers. Learn the basic technique for the Snatch and the Clean & Jerk. These lifts help improve coordination, sport performance, and can help your young athlete gain confidence!




Winter II Programs


Saturday- Grades 1-3: 8:15-9am & Grades 4-6: 9-10am

The Ashland YMCA will be hosting a six-week baseball/softball class. We will be working on the basic mechanics. All skill levels welcome. We will cover fielding, batting, bunting, sliding, catching and briefly touch on pitching. There will be five weeks of instruction and drills with the sixth week of game type play.

Beginner & Intermediate Tennis (ages 7+)

Monday: 6-7pm & 7-8pm

This class will build basic knowledge of tennis skills and develop a competitive attitude.

Little Stuff t-ball (ages 3-5)

Thursday 5:30-6:15pm

Little stuff t-ball is an adult-child interaction class to introduce the basic concepts of the sport. In this class, the adult and child will work together to perform beginner skills.

Winter I Programs                  

jr. cavs Basketball (K-2)

Games will be on Saturdays Jan 11th-Feb 15th

Registration Deadline: Dec 1st

The Cavaliers and the Ashland YMCA have partnered up to bring an amazing basketball season to you this winter. Practices will concentrate on the fundamentals along with basic defensive basketball principals. Participants will get to put their skills to the test during six games held here at the YMCA.

Little Stuff Basketball (Ages 3-5)

Thursday 5:30-6:15pm

Little stuff basketball is an adult-child interaction class to introduce the basic concepts of the sport. In this class, the adult and child will work together to perform beginner skills.

Volleyball (Grade 3-6)

Saturday 9-10:30am

This class is for players of all skill levels looking to work on their volleyball skills.
