Get ready for another season of Jr. Cavs Basketball at the YMCA of Ashland!

Our Jr. Cavs Basketball League gives young athletes the opportunity to develop their basketball skills, compete, make new friends, and learn the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship in a positive environment.

The league is open to boys and girls ages 3–14 and is designed to provide an age-appropriate basketball experience for players of different skill and experience levels.

Registration closes Sunday, November 15, 2026.

Program Information

Ages: Boys & Girls 3-14

YMCA Member: $95

Non-Member: $125 

Season: 6 Regular Season Games + Tournament 

Game Days: Saturdays

Game Times: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM 

Practices Begin: Week of December 6, 2026 

First Game: Saturday, January 6, 2027

Tournament/Playoffs: Saturday, February 20, 2027 

Registration Includes

Every registered player receives a reversible Jr. Cavs jersey and two free Loudville tickets to a Cleveland Cavaliers game. 

Player Evaluation & Draft-Style League 

Player Combine/Evaluation: Saturday, November 21, 2026 

This year we will be using a draft-style league format. Player evaluations help us create balanced teams and provide a competitive, positive experience for participants. 

Coaches will select teams following the evaluation process.

Volunteer Coaches Needed 

Our youth sports programs wouldn’t be possible without volunteer coaches. Coaches have an opportunity to make a positive impact while helping young athletes learn basketball, teamwork, sportsmanship, and confidence.

Parents and community members interested in coaching can indicate their interest during registration.

Jr. Cavs Cheer + Dance Program

Bring the energy. Build confidence. LET EM KNOW.

Jr. Cavs Cheer + Dance is back at the YMCA of Ashland! Designed for children ages 3–12, the program introduces athletes to cheerleading and dance fundamentals in a fun, positive environment focused on confidence, teamwork, movement, and spirit.

Participants practice weekly and have opportunities to perform during Jr. Cavs Basketball games on Saturdays throughout the season.

Next Level Leaders | Ages 7–12

Registration includes:

• Opportunities to perform at Jr. Cavs Basketball games

Saturday Performances

Jr. Cavs Cheer + Dance participants will have opportunities to perform during Jr. Cavs Basketball games at the YMCA of Ashland.

Basketball games are played on Saturdays, giving our Cheer + Dance athletes the opportunity to bring the energy and atmosphere to Jr. Cavs game days.

• Non-Members: $100
