Child Development

Providing childcare, developmental opportunities, and fun for children ranging from pre-K through Grade 5.

Preschool

Ashland Y Preschool focuses on the whole child who is 3-5 years old and potty trained while emphasizing the Y core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

Creative Curriculum is a curriculum program we use designed to spark interest in learning with a variety of intentional hands-on, child-centered activities. We work with each child at their level to develop their early academic growth.

By taking the preschoolers to the gymnasium and providing them with gymnastics and swimming classes, encouraging their physical development. An updated playground is also available to the preschoolers to promote an active lifestyle and to (of course) have fun.

To give children an adventurous, active and healthy summer, the Ashland Y is offering a variety of camp options to meet the needs of all our families’ youth in Ashland and surrounding communities. YMCA camp programs provide a fun and unique experience that gives children the opportunity to explore the outdoors, meet new friends, discover new interests and create memories that last a lifetime.

The Ashland Y offers Full Day Summer Camp for ages 6-12 and a Preschool Summer Camp for ages 3-5.

The Ashland Y provides a variety of opportunities to help ensure that children are learning and being physically active in the summer.  Campers also learn how to be responsible and resourceful, work in groups, solve problems and make decisions that will help them grow as individuals – all while having fun.
