As we have done for more than a century, THE YMCA of ASHLAND, OHIO IS COMMITTED TO SAYING “YES” TO OUR COMMUNITY (after all, YES begins with a Y). Recognizing the needs of our members and neighbors, and the challenges and limitations of our current facility, the YMCA’s Board of Directors has launched a targeted fundraising Campaign to vastly improve our soccer and football fields and enhance our outdoor spaces. With your help, we will provide expanded services and programs to encourage a healthy and active community. Together, we will connect neighbors and families, strengthening the social bonds that promote understanding and reduce stress. Through your generosity, the YMCA mission will reach more people in our community, making sure we can say “YES” today and in the future.
The goal in the Myers Field Campaign is to raise $1.5 million by the end of June 2025 for the creation of the Outdoor Sports Complex.
Our Myers Field Campaign is being led by a committed group of community volunteers to raise the funds necessary from the Y family and the Ashland County community to enable construction of a new Outdoor Sports Complex complete with lighted combination soccer & three football fields, quarter-mile walking path and concession building with ADA-compliant restrooms to begin in August of 2025 and to be completed by spring 2026. We invite you to be a part of the Myers Field Campaign. Interested individuals, families, corporations and foundations can bring this important project to life by making a gift or two-year pledge to the Myers Field Campaign.

THE NEED
Since moving to our current location in 1956, the Ashland YMCA is bursting at the seams with activity. As our community rebounded from the recent pandemic, the Ashland YMCA programs are growing at a rapid pace, especially our youth programs. There is a tremendous amount of both pent-up demand and energy for the services we offer and we anticipate even greater demand in the coming years as the city and county continue to grow. For 2025 and beyond we anticipate expanding our NFL Flag Football League, our Youth Soccer Program, future activities for kids will likely include Lacrosse Leagues and Clinics, Youth Sports Camps, and Tournaments. We also plan to begin offering Adult Soccer Leagues and Adult Flag Football Leagues, Recreational Kickball and Ultimate Frisbee.
